Digital Marketing- A very famous and most revenue oriented marketing medium in current era to promote any business with very less efforts and having a high observation and tracking on your marketing process. Digital Marketing (Online Marketing) is quite different from offline marketing where in offline marketing you spend a high amount of money and get a very little revenue, more over to that its very difficult to track results of offline marketing in comparison to online marketing where you have all tools to track and measure your results based on your activities performed. 

Digital Marketing consists a number of various parts to promote your business through online medium. It basically consists PPC-SEM, SEO, SMO-SMM. PPC (Pay Per Click) & SEM (Search Engine Marketing) both stands for same process but known as these two different terms which includes paid advertising of your business, products, services, offers etc.  It displays paid advertisements of your products, services, business in different search engines when someone makes 
a search query related to your product in search engines.

For example in Google, paid advertisement is shown in search result pages as shown in pic below


Parts in red box is paid advertisement shown on search result pages of google and these ads are run by Google Adwords Tool (Google's PPC Running Tool) which is a free to use online tool provides you a platform to run your ads on Google's search result pages and its partner sites as well. 

The above mentioned information is quite brief for Google Adwords and PPC-SEM. There is more to get about PPC. There are many other Adwords like ad platforms available for different search engines as well who offers you to run your ads in there specified area of search engine users. 

Above mentioned is an overview of Digial Marketing and Paid Marketing (PPC). Further more I'll discuss about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in details.
